Mrs. Scheets’ 1st Graders incorporated a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) activity into class today!! Together they read the book Balloons on Broadway, which explains how Tony Sarg made the first floatable balloons. Then they watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade from last year. Finally, they created their own balloon floats for a pretend parade.

Jr. Beta members held their first meeting this afternoon. Jr. Beta Club is a national and state organization that promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, leadership, and service among middle school students. Students received invitations to participate in this organization if they achieved academic honors in the first quarter of school.
