A glimpse into our Library/STEM adventures! Over the past few weeks, our elementary students have been diving into exciting activities that combine learning and creativity.

Snowflake Bentley:
Students explored the beauty of snowflakes by reading Snowflake Bentley. They learned that snowflakes are symmetrical and begin as hexagonal shapes, branching out to form unique designs. Each grade level used different materials to create their snowflakes, showcasing their creativity and understanding of symmetry.

🌟 Martin’s Big Words:
After reading Martin’s Big Words, students engaged in hands-on projects inspired by Dr. King’s legacy. They:

  • Strategized to build the tallest monument using various materials.

  • Designed a bus out of Legos.

  • Created a battleship game using Dr. King’s inspiring words.

We’re so proud of our students’ hard work and ingenuity! Stay tuned for more exciting projects. 📖💡
